Hi there!
My name is Katy and I am so honored that you chose to read my blog. I have always considered myself a “memory hoarder” and have kept detailed journals about my traveling. Now I get to share my experiences with anyone willing to listen!
I love traveling with my husband, Josh. He is the reason I’ve been to so many cool places and places I never thought I’d want to visit (I’m looking at you, Des Moines). His job allows us to have some really cool flight benefits. I’ve been to 41 out of the 50 states, 10 National Parks, and 6 MLB ballparks. Obviously, these are rookie numbers and I can’t wait to visit more!
I have always wanted to be a teacher. I’ve taught in 3 different districts across Texas. K-2nd is my sweet spot and I pride myself in my classroom management. I never back down from dress-up days. My dream is to one day be an instructional coach or run my own professional development consulting gig.
I never thought the day would come when I stepped away from teaching, but welcoming my baby girl in October of 2025 made me realize how much I wanted to stay home and watch her grow. I hope to return once she (and any other siblings) gets to be in school.
